FLYING TO LUBLIN
Lublin Airport is the youngest airport in Europe and at the same time the first one in Poland that is so modern and built from scratch.
The airport is situated approximately 18 km from LUT. As for the connection, there are plenty of options to choose from: 9 trains per day that will take you there in 15 minutes or a bus with a timetable adjusted to the flight schedule.
For those who do not want to use public transport there is a wide variety of the local taxi services available at very reasonable prices – a journey from Lublin Airport to LUT will cost only 12 euros.
TRAVEL FROM WARSAW TO LUBLIN
CATCHING A TRAIN TO LUBLIN
Lublin is a major railway hub, with direct connections to most bigger cities in Poland and a handful of Ukrainian ones. There are 9 trains every day to and from Warsaw Central (Warszawa Centralna) station every 2 – 3 hours with travel time of approximately 2.5 hours. The distance to the Lublin train station (Dworzec Główny PKP) from LUT is about 3 km, which makes it about 10 minute drive (about 4-5 euros by taxi) and up to 25 minutes by bus (0.70 euro).
CATCHING A BUS TO LUBLIN
An alternative way to travel between Warsaw and Lublin is by bus or minibus which is a bit faster. The main bus terminal (Główny Dworzec Autobusowy) is located just across the street from the Castle of Lublin and services almost all cities in Poland. There are about 30 buses and minibuses every 30 minutes and the approximate travel time is 2 – 2.5 hours.
There is also a possibility to travel directly from Warsaw Airport (Okecie) to Lublin, also by bus or minibus – there are 5 of them per day in a 1 – 2 hours tract and approximate travel time is 3 hours. For more details click here www.lotnisko-chopina.pl/en/bus-terminal.html
